Do one thing at a time. Don't try to record a track and then edit it. This does not work; it will cause you to get frustrated cause if you start tweaking then your going to have to go back and re-edit, and possibly re-record everything. Instead, record the audio first. Tweak the sound and record different versions of the motif. Then go back and edit the tracks and arrange them in Logic.
